Suzanne Dressler

Suzanne Dressler has been tutoring in NYC for over 15 years. She founded Skyscraper Tutoring with the belief that compassion and academics go hand in hand. With her academic credentials and experience as a professional actor and singer, Suzanne brings creative energy to her work with students and families. Skyscraper tutors encompass intellectual prowess, empathy, and curiosity; all of our educators take an active and sincere interest in our students' academic progress, as well their mental well-being. We value transparency and deeply believe that confidence yields excellence.

In addition to running her company, Suzanne is a freelance writer, podcast host of There's a Word for That!, member of Actors' Equity Association (AEA) and an actor with the Metropolitan Opera. She is a voracious reader, obsessed with the Oxford comma, plays piano, and loves Spanish poetry. Suzanne holds a B.A. in American Studies and Spanish from Barnard College/Columbia University.

There's a Word For That! is a weekly podcast that focuses on a separate word each week and our relationship to it. Suzanne has even interviewed students for her episodes, and these interviews are some of the most successful!
